Sauvignon Blanc

KRSMA Estates

Winemakers Notes

The very first vintage of the Sauvignon Blanc from the house of KRSMA Estates. What meets the eye at first is a pale straw wine with faint floral notes of lemon peel, citrus rind, jasmine and candied ginger. It is confirmed on the palate with grapefruit and further citrus notes. This is a classic light bodied, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with a good balance of fruit and acidity.

Winemakers Notes

The second vintage of our pinnacle white turns out to be the most award-winning vintage to date. A pale hay colored wine, the notes on the palate resonate fresh peaches, unripe pears, green apple, white fig, and a slight bell pepper undertone. The acidity is quite pronounced, making it a remarkably food-friendly wine.
Nothing too little, nothing too much. An absolute classic.

Winemakers Notes

This particular vintage of the Sauvignon Blanc offers many distractions to the drinker – much more than expressive tropical fruits like passion fruit and pineapple, this wine oozes of zesty lime and sparkling acidity that captivates the palate. A well-balanced wine with a mouth-coating film of fruit and acidity.

An exceptional summer wine. With crisp acidity and a citrus nose underlined with a subtle minerality, this wine offers captivating nuances of melon, papaya, white peach, grapefruit, and the tartness of gooseberries and lime peels. The acidity is well rounded off with a slightly overripe finish, lingering on the palate remarkably.

Winemakers Notes

This is a Sauvignon Blanc that is modern, yet a classic in many ways. Clean, crisp and precise on the palate, it has all the likeabilities of a Sauvignon Blanc – fruity aromas of grapefruit, mandarin orange peel, lemon rind, gooseberries and passionfruit, combined with the light and crispness expected out of it. A savior for Indian summers!

Winemakers Notes

The 2018 vintage has been the flagbearer of change for the Indian Sauvignon Blanc by maturing a part of it in oak for a short period of time.
This bold move for a climate like India proved to be a well-taken risk for us. Its time spent in oak gives it an added complexity and a dense, rewarding structure which some might find unfamiliar, but give it a chance and it serves up a remarkable palate of sweet citrus and tropical fruits paired with a delicious smoothness and a certainly enjoyable toastiness of cinnamon and vanilla, breeding from the oak aging.

Winemakers Notes

The heart of this great Sauvignon Blanc is in its balance, finesse, and the extreme length built on its bracing, racy acidity.
Once chilled well, this wine offers a refreshing palate uplift with its crisp citrus, orange peel, kefir lime, and nectarine rind notes. Well rounded and balanced, this wine has made its own niche in the vintage story of all its elder siblings with its remarkable acidity and bounce of fresh fruit.
