Sauvignon Blanc

KRSMA Estates

Winemakers Notes

The very first vintage of the Sauvignon Blanc from the house of KRSMA Estates. What meets the eye at first is a pale straw wine with faint floral notes of lemon peel, citrus rind, jasmine and candied ginger. It is confirmed on the palate with grapefruit and further citrus notes. This is a classic light bodied, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with a good balance of fruit and acidity.

Winemakers Notes

The second vintage of our pinnacle white turns out to be the most award-winning vintage to date. A pale hay colored wine, the notes on the palate resonate fresh peaches, unripe pears, green apple, white fig, and a slight bell pepper undertone. The acidity is quite pronounced, making it a remarkably food-friendly wine.
Nothing too little, nothing too much. An absolute classic.

Winemakers Notes

The 2018 vintage has been the flagbearer of change for the Indian Sauvignon Blanc by maturing a part of it in oak for a short period of time.
This bold move for a climate like India proved to be a well-taken risk for us. Its time spent in oak gives it an added complexity and a dense, rewarding structure which some might find unfamiliar, but give it a chance and it serves up a remarkable palate of sweet citrus and tropical fruits paired with a delicious smoothness and a certainly enjoyable toastiness of cinnamon and vanilla, breeding from the oak aging.
