2008

Founded

  • The iconic year we were born. Situated roughly at a distance of 375 kms from Bangalore and Hyderabad, the construction of the winery faced its own setbacks. A lot of land was bought and the soil was prepared for growing vines -a two-year exercise…

2009
Naming

  • Meanwhile, a name had to be chosen for the wine-house, one that not only reflected its inherent Indian character but also its singularity. A name that could carve out a niche for itself, something modern, yet distinctly Indian What could be better than the union of the two very souls that brought together the idea of a wine so unique – thus from the first name of Krishna and Uma was born ‘KRSMA’ (Kris – Ma) Estates

2010

First Harvest

  • The year of our first harvest! The first vines to be planted was the Cabernet Sauvignon that yielded us with the first vintage of the KRSMA Cabernet Sauvignon. However, to such an extent was the passion for quality in our Founders, they decided to retain the vintage and wait for the next vintage year, as they believed it would be an exceptional wine. And exceptional it was!

2011

The Cabernet Sauvignon

  • The year that our flagship red, the KRSMA Estates Cabernet Sauvignon was released. By this year, our winery was complete with state of the art winemaking facilities, and new varietals planted in the vineyard. These varietals – Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Sangiovese – went on to be some of the most loved wines in the history of KRSMA.

2012
Our First Win

  • Our first vintage of Sauvignon Blanc and Sangiovese were ready to be discovered! The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc has also been the proud winner of the New Zealand International Wine Show Bronze award – one of our first wins

2013

KRSMA K2

  • A year of many firsts. It was in this vintage year, that we launched a second label wine a la Bordeaux. The KRSMA K2 range, which is fresh and packed with a youthful appeal is an approachable insight into the taste and style of our wines. 2013 saw the release of our first vintage of Chardonnay. This was also the year that our Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 won its first Gold – at the China Wine and Spirits Awards!

2015

First Indian wine-house to launch Magnums

  • The year that India’s first-ever vertical tasting of 4 vintages of the KRSMA Cabernet Sauvignon was hosted in Bangalore with the who’s who of the Indian Food and Wine industry. At this event, we also revealed our Magnum bottle of the Cabernet Sauvignon – being the first Indian wine-house to launch Magnums of their reserve wine.

First vintage of Syrah

  • The evolution of our first vintage of Syrah. Before its release, the Syrah created quite the stir and bagged a couple of awards. Since then, each vintage of KRSMA has surpassed its previous one, and every year has brought changes and a great learning
